The story is about high school girls climbing mountains. It tells the story of Aoi, who likes indoor activities and is afraid of heights. After meeting her childhood friend Hinata who likes outdoor activities, she goes climbing again because she wants to see the sunrise on the top of the mountain like she did when she was a child. "Heading to the Mountain" is a manga drawn by illustrator Shiro (しろ), who was the character designer and original artist of the PC game "Symphony of Rain". It has been serialized since the September 2011 issue of the monthly manga magazine "Comic Earth Star" and has released 5 volumes of single books so far.
