The three awaken, and Sun Wukong helps the gods to overcome the crisis. After the westbound team is separated, Sha Wujing goes to the underworld to save his master; Bajie kills someone in Black Water Town due to negligence; White Wolf Xiaoyu subdues a tiger in the horror forest, and is besieged by stone soldiers in the ancient city. Sanzang and others return to rescue, but they encounter the Shadow King again, and Wukong returns to the team to help. Sanzang resolves the resentment of the dead souls, and the westbound team bids farewell to the old friends and continues on the road.
